How Does This Online Training Work?
Each person who signs up for a particular training module is assigned to a group of 3 other small business people running or planning to run non-competitive businesses.
Each then interacts with an on-line program that for each session provides information, gives reading assignments and instructs when and how to interact, first by email exchanges, and then by means of an online group discussion.
An introductory online presentation acquaints everyone with the rules of engagement that best allow for effective group interactions and discussions. Also a preliminary online group meeting culminates a formal process whereby all members of the group get to know about each other and their businesses.
By interacting with group colleagues as plans for each business develop, everyone gets to see how others go about doing their planning. By observing, commenting and asking questions group members will not only receive information helpful to their own planning, but also contribute helpfully to other group members.
This will greatly improve the confidence of everyone that their current planning approaches are producing a “best” possible outcome – an experiment well worth running.
